Regular exercise during the year is essential to stay active and healthy. In the springtime, it is time to work out again outdoors, in parks and green areas or in your own building.
Living in a private building- a housing or residential complex- is full of advantages. Although, initially, practicing sports inside the complex may seem challenging, many condominiums provide the perfect spot to practice outdoor sports. Our homes are a clear example, with a wide range of community areas where you can stay active without having to leave the building.
Here is our selection of outdoor sports. Put your trainers on and let’s begin!
Like we mentioned in previous posts, paddle has become hugely popular in Spain. Many condominiums have added one or several courts in their community areas to play matches and tournaments, amongst residents and friends.
Testa tip: paddle is the perfect sport for spring. It helps build up your strength, endurance and coordination and is easy to learn, at any age.
Our homes in Las Tablas have different fenced paddle courts, which are modern and easy to use.
Football is by far the king of sports. It is a great option for those who wish to exercise in a fun and social context. Our largest residential complexes have green areas or small football fields for children and adults.
At Francisco Hernando we have a surfaced football field, whereas at Ramón Montcada the field is grass, which is better suited for children.
In terms of top courts, we should mention the basketball courts at our Los Olivos housing. Basketball can be played both indoors and outdoors, and is the best option for all those who want to have a good time whilst in turn improving their coordination and cardiovascular health.
If you would rather leave all physical strain aside and instead wind down and reduce your stress levels, yoga is the best option. Most residential complexes have quiet areas or gardens where you can practice yoga whilst enjoying nature in the outdoors.
What would you think about starting the day with a sun salutation in our Fontanella gardens?: a peaceful and wide-open space, noise-free and without outside distractions.
Although this activity is not well known, we are sure you will eventually hear a lot about it. Callisthenics involve a physical work-out based on your body weight. To do it, all you need is a green area or outdoor space where you can exercise: push-ups, pull-downs, planks or sit-ups.
This is our selection of outdoor sports. One of the best ways to stay active and enjoy the good weather without leaving home is to make the most of community areas and each space available. If you want to find out more about any of these, please get in touch and we will give you all the information you need.
