Now firmly established as the leading international event for the European real estate sector, The District returns in 2025—and at Testa Homes we couldn’t possibly miss this essential date in the industry calendar. From 30 September to 2 October, Barcelona will bring together more than 14,000 international professionals in a meeting of real estate capital, at which experiences are shared, business opportunities are created and the trends that will shape the future of the market are defined.

In addition to a Hospitality Area—where more than 350 firms will move their offices to hold meetings, close deals and explore investment and divestment opportunities—this year’s event will also host The District World Summit 2025. This professional congress will include more than 190 sessions and round tables spread across five auditoriums. More than 450 international experts, including representatives from Testa Homes, will explore global megatrends in the economy and in real estate, with a focus tailored to each asset class.

For us, this event is much more than just a networking forum. It is a space in which we reaffirm our commitment to the professionalisation of the residential market and the promotion of sustainable, accessible housing that will meet the needs of society and investors alike. With this aim in mind, we will be attending not only as a Global Partner, but also as speakers:

• On 1 October at 3:30 p.m., our CEO, Juan Pablo Vera Martín, will take part in the round table ‘Where Investors Are Betting on Residential Real Estate’. In this panel, he will share his thoughts on key issues for the residential market, such as price trends, demand shifts and the investment strategies driving new deals across both rental and ownership models.
• That same day, at 4:40 p.m., our COO, Noelia Rosón, will moderate the session ‘Rented Residential: Building Institutional-Grade BTR Portfolios’. This gathering will bring together top-tier professionals to explore the challenges of consolidating institutional Build-to-Rent portfolios. The discussion will offer an in-depth look at large-scale residential portfolio management, focusing on tenant satisfaction and the achievement of stable, sustainable long-term returns.

Reinforcing our commitment, year after year

In The District 2024, we also had the opportunity to take an active part in the programme and were honoured to receive the Award for the Best Real Estate Operation with Greatest ESG Impact by CaixaBank during the event’s prestigious gala. This recognition, awarded for our project to install more than 4,200 solar photovoltaic panels across 63 of our buildings, strengthened our commitment to sustainability and innovation as key drivers of transformation in the sector.

Our goal in participating in events such as The District is to lead the industry debate and help build a professionalised, long-term residential market.
